About us
We've been helping people enjoy this special spot since 1977. Our RYA qualified staff are very experienced.
We are a not-for-profit attraction run by the Lake District National Park Authority. All profits go towards keeping it special for future generations.
We love Coniston Water and know it well. So if you've any questions, just ask!
Frequently asked questions
Do you allow dogs?
Yes! Not a problem, just make sure your 4 legged friend will be happy with what you have booked and that you are competent to manage them in whatever you have booked.
Can we just turn up?
We can get very busy during the holidays so it’s always best to book in advance via our website
Can we book over the phone?
I’m afraid we do not take bookings over the phone, to check availability and to book please use our website
Can we cancel our booking?
If the weather deemed unsuitable by the boating centre staff they will contact you to arrange a refund or move it to another date. If you would like to cancel your booking you must do so a minimum of 48 hours in advance to receive a refund.
Can we move our booking?
We will do our best to move any bookings to an alternative slot given enough notice, some days we are fully booked so this isn’t always possible.
What if we arrive late?
Sadly on days where we are fully booked, we may not be able to move your booking so you would lose the time on the water, it’s worth arriving early to get parked and avoid missing your booking!
What is the minimum age on a paddle board or kayak?
You must be over 16 to take a single kayak or a paddleboard, if you are under 16 you would have to share a double kayak or a canoe instead.
