Our location and parking
We're just half a mile from Coniston village on the shores of Coniston Water. There's parking, or arrive by launch.

Pay on exit parking system
Payable every day 9am - 6pm including Bank Holidays.
- First two hours: £3
- Then 40p for every 20 minutes
- Up to a maximum of £8 for the day
Signs explain the system. You can also pay online up to 48 hours after you've parked at www.parkwithease.co.uk (opens in new window).
All car park charges go towards keeping the National Park special for the future.

Public transport and boats
Boats leave Coniston Boating Centre daily, with regular trips across to Brantwood. Special cruises include "Swallows and Amazons" and "Campbells on Coniston".
- From 6 February 2016, the Coniston Launch leaves at 10:40am each day.

Steam Yacht Gondola
This rebuilt Victorian steam-powered yacht will transport you back to an era of peace and tranquillity. It sails every day (weather permitting) with round trips taking approximately 45 minutes from Coniston Boating Centre, calling at Brantwood jetty.
The Steam Yacht Gondola will be back on the water in late March.

Coniston village is linked to various towns and villages by bus, with extra services in the summer. Then it's just a half mile amble to the lakeshore and Coniston Boating Centre. Check out the best bus for you on Cumbria County Council bus timetables (opens in new window).
