3 Things to do this May half term at Coniston Boating Centre!

With May bank holiday half term upon us, you’re probably thinking of some ideas of what to do with the kids, or perhaps something enjoyable to do with family and friends.

The great news is that there’s plenty of fun activities to be enjoyed at Coniston. From hiring a rowing or motor boat, to kayaking, canoeing or cycling, there’s something for everyone.

So, here are 3 things we think you’ll love at Coniston Boating Centre this May half term:

1) There’s no fresh air like the Lake District fresh air

If you’re looking to get out and about, why not embark on one of the most popular walking routes in Coniston ‘The Old Man of Coniston’, which spans over 9.5 miles. There’s ample parking space located at the Boating Centre if you need a base! If you’re looking for a slightly less strenuous walking route, take a look at our Coniston to Torver Jetty route.

2) Venture across Coniston Water by motor boat and don’t forget the camera!

We will let you into a secret – Motor boats can be booked through this website 25% cheaper than the ‘walk up’ prices. But listen, there’s limited availability so book early and don’t forget the camera, the views are spectacular and please do share your snaps on our Facebook page!

3) With all of that activity, you’re probably going to be peckish!

The Bluebird Café is just a stones through away from the Boating Centre where you won’t only find a menu of delicious food, but you can also sit out on the jetty styled terrace and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
